Call for action

The Stroke Action Plan for Europe outlines key targets that all countries and health systems should aim to achieve by 2030 to reduce the burden of stroke. As identified in the Burden of Stroke in Europe report, disparities exist between and within countries, in stroke care pathways. Further, post-stroke support was neglected by all countries.

By tailoring the Stroke Action Plan for Europe to your country’s context—considering available resources and existing healthcare infrastructure—we can enhance stroke care, reduce the impact of stroke and improve outcomes for stroke survivors, all before the number of people living with stroke and associated healthcare and non-healthcare costs are anticipated to rise dramatically1.
